There was once a King who was wise and caring. All the people in his wealthy kingdom were happy, except the King himself. The King had an unknown secret —— he had a pair of donkey’s ears! To keep his secret from his people, he wore a tall hat all year long to cover his ears. The King’s barber was threatened not to tell the secret, but it didn’t take long before the secret spread out. In the city, a little boy was blowing an amazing flute which made the sound: “The King has a pair of donkey’s ears! The King has a pair of donkey’s ears!” What happened?
